Pit Bull Rescue

Pit Bull Rescue

Like many large cities, Detroit has a sizable Pit Bull population.

Thankfully, we have many wonderful organizations dedicated to Pit Bull rescue.

The city itself does not have Breed Specific Legislation however many of the surrounding communities do. It goes without saying that this can make rescue work more difficult than it already is.

It’s not easy to find a home for a dog, especially if he’s a Bully mix, so our awesome Pit Bull rescues work around the clock, 24/7. They spend countless hours rehabilitating abandoned and abused dogs, gaining their trust, working with veterinarians and fosters, and eventually finding loving homes.

They deserve much more credit then they get.

Here is a list of the top Detroit area non-profit organizations committed to Pit Bull rescue.
